FREELANCE Pre-Clinical Statistician - Must speak fluent German
Start Date - Within the next 2 months ideally, January at the latest. Contract Length - 6 months rolling Rate: Euros 80 - 110 / hour - Dependant on Experience
Job Summary
The statistician will be responsible for supporting preclinical research at the site, Projects will cover a very wide range of in vitro and in vivo assays. The statistician needs to be able to communicate with TA Scientists, understand study goals and the applied technology, comprehend the data and especially the variation behind it, and provide statistical support (design, analysis, consulting, report, publication, training, etc.). Due to the nature of the preclinical studies (exploratory, new & diverse technologies, high noise, large datasets, molecular targets, etc.), this individual should be interested in and curious about science and technology.
Essential Requirements
* Fluent German Speaker * Degree qualified, preferably with a biostatistics or statistics * Relevant pre-clinical/clinical trial biostatistic experience; at least 3 years * A thorough knowledge of the theory and techniques of applied statistical methods such as, Experimental Designs, ANOVA, Linear Models, non-parametric, regression, correlation analysis, categorical data analysis, survival analysis. * Solid methodological and analytical skills in traditional statistics and a desire to stay current with literature on novel state-of-the-art methods. * Exposure to large datasets such as microarray, high throughput screening, SNPs, etc., is desireable.
